I don’t believe in luck. I never have. I do however own a lucky pair of pants. I know that they really aren’t any more spectacular than any other pair of pants but for some reason I have just had more successful hunting experiences while donning those particular camos. They are in more trophy pictures than all my other pairs. Someday they will become so threadbare I will have no choice but to retire them. Luck really doesn’t have anything to do with it…more than likely I have killed more animals in these pants simply because I wear them on the majority of my hunts. That makes way more sense. Still I find myself reaching for that pair whenever they are clean simply because of all the great memories attached to them. There are a lot of people who associate their successes with a lucky something or other. When it comes right down to it there is a perfectly normal explanation for all our seemingly lucky experiences. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it…at least until those threadbare pants get retired and I stop killing game…then we might revisit this topic.
